Society For Biomaterials 2018 Annual Meeting and Exposition


Society for Biomaterials (SFB) Annual Meeting & Exposition 2018 was organized by Society For Biomaterials (SFB) and held during Apr 11 - 14, 2018 at Atlanta Hilton Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America. This year, there are sessions/panels with a focus on “Biomaterials Technology in Industry” in the program. There was a session block dedicated to “Rapid Fire” presenters on the first day of the conference to further highlight the breadth and quality of the abstracts received this year. The four days conference ended with a conference dinner to connect with all attendees at the beautiful Georgia Aquarium during the Bash on Friday night.


Kumar Bishwajit Sutradhar, a PhD Candidate from Biomedical Engineering, UNSW Sydeny, Australia participated for both oral and poster presentation. " I'm very fortunate to meet the leaders from this research field in this conference and also to share my reaserch finding with them! I would also like to thank Postgraduate Research Student Support (PRSS) Scholarship to fund me for my first international conference" He said.


His research entitled "Surface Engineered Cerium Oxide Nanoparticles Show Promise for Targeting CD44 Expressing Cancer Cells" was selected in the top 10 best abstract and published in the official SFB publication.

"An additional visit to the Marcus Nanotechnology Research Center in Georgia Tech University gave me a better idea about the cutting edge nanoengineering research facility and also a close look to their current projects". He added.
