Postgraduate Research Symposium 2017 in UNSW

The Faculty of Engineering invites all UNSW Engineering postgraduate research students, research staff and industry experts to the 2017 Postgraduate Research Symposium. This event gives postgraduate research students an opportunity to showcase their work, develop their oral presentation skills, network with peers and compete for great prizes. The presentations were held on 26-29 September from 9am to 5pm. The awards presentation was on 29 September from 1pm to 4pm.

More than 140 PhD students from different Engineering school in UNSW participated this year. 9 PhD student from Biomedical Engineering participated for their 20 min research presentations in a broad audience.Only 6 students were choosen for the final event from 141 participants. Kumar Bishwajit Sutradhar was awarded for the best presentation in Biomedical Engineering, UNSW.

" Its a great opportunity to talk about research in a broad audience and I think I learned a lot from this. I would highly encourage all final year PhD students to participate in this symposium next year." he said.
